You cannot run Win 11 because your hardware is to old or did not want it.
This is no problem. You can run it will defender get its updates. You can buy security updates.
Options:
- Keep using Win 10
- Migrate to Linux
Migrating to Linux
If you want to keep your hardware running, this is the option to choose.
Distros
There are a few distros that wil do:
- Zorin
- Linux Mint cinnemamon
- Ubuntu
My choice is Linux Mint.
Download the distro.
Download Ventoy and install it on a USB-drive. Then copy the linux ISO to the ventoy directory.
Copy all your personal file to an external drive. Not the cloud.
Set the BIOS security settings that it will boot the USB-drive to Ventoy. Choose the Linux distro and run live version to test if it will work. Then you can install it.
Let the installer remove all old partitions. Follow the instructions. You must make your account a administrator type.
